Safety Milestone Achieved at Jackson, TN Facility
Focus on safety is a constant & prioritized goal for all our facilities and employees, making our recent milestone in Jackson, TN especially noteworthy. A true team effort, we are proud to announce Jackson passed 365 days safe! And to celebrate the achievement, a barbecue chicken lunch was hosted.
When asked about best practices for maintaining a consistently safe work environment, Jackson’s Production Manager, Jason Ricketts, noted that they start each Monday with safety meetings, setting the tone & a theme to be carried out throughout the entire week. The team shares safety topics & tips not only relevant at work, but those that can be applied in everyday life, including at home. He also said that an important aspect of what has made their safety program successful is the constant input received from the entire team on what they feel will make their jobs safer and more comfortable from an ergonomics standpoint. The team has also been purposeful in slowing down their on-boarding process for new employees to ensure safety is at the forefront and not rushed, and that continuous coaching is provided while on the plant floor.
As we celebrate National Safety Month throughout June, we would like to thank the entire Jackson team for their laser focus on maintaining a safe working environment!
